Recruitment information can change quickly and a small error can cause a candidate to miss an opportunity. Regal Naukri therefore uses a source-first fact-checking process for every Latest Jobs page.
Our source hierarchy
We prefer sources in this order:
- Official recruitment notification or advertisement PDF
- Official corrigendum, addendum or deadline-extension notice
- Official application portal
- Official recruiting authority website
- Official gazette, government press release or verified departmental notice
- Credible secondary reporting, used only for context and never as a substitute for an available primary recruitment source
Social-media posts, forwarded messages, screenshots and other job websites are not sufficient evidence by themselves. An official social account may help us discover an update, but we seek the underlying notice or official webpage before publishing material facts.
High-risk facts receive direct checks
The editor compares the article against the source for:
- application deadline and closing time;
- vacancy count and whether it is tentative;
- age limit, age-calculation date and date-of-birth range;
- category relaxation;
- post-wise qualification and experience;
- fee amount and exemption categories;
- salary or pay level;
- examination stages and whether dates are announced;
- application and notification links; and
- special conditions such as physical standards, domicile, language or gender restrictions when officially applicable.
Handling conflicting information
When official sources conflict, we prioritise the newest valid corrigendum or update. We do not silently choose the more attractive figure. If the conflict cannot be resolved, we state the uncertainty, avoid a definitive claim and direct readers to the recruiting authority.
Tentative, expected and unannounced information
- Tentative means the authority has published a provisional figure that may change.
- Expected is used only when there is a clearly identified basis and is never presented as official.
- To be notified means the authority has not announced the information. We do not invent a date to fill the gap.
Link verification
Apply buttons should point to the recruiting authority’s own portal or an official service provider clearly linked by that authority. Editors check the domain, HTTPS connection, page purpose and relationship to the official notice before adding the link.
Shortened, redirected or unfamiliar links are avoided where a direct official URL is available. If an official link later breaks, we update or remove it rather than replacing it with an unofficial application service.
Publication record
Each job page should show:
- publication date;
- last updated or last verified date;
- author or editorial-team byline;
- official notification link; and
- official application link when applications are open.
