Who Can Apply
The recruitment is restricted to eligible officers already serving under the Central Government, State Governments or Union Territories. Candidates should compare their present substantive post, regular service in the feeder level, educational qualification and any computer/stenography/accounts condition against the exact clause for the post they want.
Fresh graduates, unemployed candidates and private-sector employees should not treat this advertisement as a normal direct recruitment.
Post-Wise Eligibility
Senior Private Secretary
Applicants should be officers of the Stenographer's cadre under the Central Government, State Governments or Union Territories and should satisfy the prescribed service condition, such as holding an analogous post on regular basis or having the notified regular service in Level-7. The post also carries the prescribed graduate-degree requirement.
Section Officer / Office Superintendent
Eligible officers should either:
- hold an analogous post on regular basis; or
- have five years of regular service in Level-6 or equivalent;
and possess:
- a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university; and
- computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and slide generation, certified by the cadre controlling authority.
Assistant
Eligible officers should either:
- hold an analogous post on regular basis; or
- have six years of regular service in Level-5 or equivalent;
and possess:
- a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university; and
- the prescribed computer-proficiency qualification/test.
Accountant
Eligible officers should either hold an analogous post on regular basis or possess the notified feeder-grade service in Level-5/equivalent. They should also satisfy the accounts qualification route prescribed in the advertisement, including the applicable SAS examination or the prescribed training in cash and accounts work with the required relevant experience in cash, accounts and budget work.
Stenographer Grade-I
Applicants should be officers of the Stenographer's cadre who either hold an analogous post or possess the prescribed regular service in the lower pay levels. A graduate degree and computer proficiency are prescribed.
The notice also specifies the stenography skill standard:
- shorthand: 100 words per minute for 10 minutes;
- transcription: 40 minutes in English or 55 minutes in Hindi on computer.
Stenographer Grade-II
Applicants should be serving officers of the Stenographer's cadre holding the prescribed analogous post on regular basis and should have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board.
Upper Division Clerk
Eligible officers should either:
- hold an analogous UDC-level post on regular basis; or
- have eight years of regular service in Level-2 or equivalent;
and should have passed Class 12 from a recognised board.
Lower Division Clerk
Applicants should be serving officers holding the prescribed analogous post on regular basis and should have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board.
Age Limit
The maximum age for appointment on deputation is 56 years as on 25 November 2026, the closing date for receipt of applications.
Use the Regal Naukri Age Calculator with 25 November 2026 as the comparison date if you need to check your chronological age. The calculator does not decide deputation eligibility; NIA's service and cadre rules remain controlling.
Pay and Allowances
The recruitment spans Pay Matrix Level-2 to Level-8, so one combined salary should not be used for every post.
In addition to the applicable pay level, the notice provides for Special Security Allowance at 20% of basic pay, along with DA, HRA, transport allowance and other admissible Central Government allowances according to applicable rules.
Because the selected officers come on deputation and the pay level differs by post, actual pay fixation depends on the applicable government/deputation rules and the officer's service position.
Selection Process
No separate written competitive examination is notified for these posts.
Selection is based on deputation scrutiny, which can include:
- verification of parent-cadre eligibility and qualifying service;
- scrutiny of educational and post-specific requirements;
- examination of APAR records;
- vigilance / departmental enquiry clearance;
- integrity certification;
- penalty-history verification; and
- final consideration by the competent authority.
There is therefore no separate NIA ministerial written-exam syllabus under this deputation notice.

A deputation application is employer-routed, so the supporting file is more extensive than a normal direct-recruitment form.
