Eligible female candidates and specified MP reserved-category male candidates can have a maximum age of 38 years, subject to the recruitment rules and applicable relaxations.

Selection Process
The MP Police Constable selection process includes:
- Computer-based written examination
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
- Document verification
- Medical examination
The written examination carries 100 marks, followed by a 100-mark PET for qualifying candidates.
Written Exam Pattern
The written test is expected to include 100 questions for 100 marks. The subjects cover areas such as general knowledge/reasoning, intellectual ability/mental aptitude, science and basic arithmetic. Current recruitment reporting says there is no negative marking.
Candidates should rely on the current MPESB rulebook for the final syllabus and test instructions.
Physical Efficiency Test
The PET includes:
- 800-metre run — 40 marks
- Long jump — 30 marks
- Shot put — 30 marks
Physical measurement standards differ by sex, category and cadre. Male minimum-height requirements vary by applicable category/cadre, while female candidates generally have a 155 cm minimum-height requirement.
