Qualification
Post 820 — Welding
B.E./B.Tech in the notified Mechanical/Production/Metallurgy/Manufacturing/Material Science routes plus M.E./M.Tech in a notified Welding/Manufacturing/Metallurgy/Production specialization containing the required welding study.
Post 821 — Turbo Machinery
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering plus M.E./M.Tech in Turbo Machinery, Thermal & Fluids Engineering with Turbo Machinery, or Aerospace Propulsion with Turbo Machinery.
Post 822 — Power Electronics
B.E./B.Tech in the notified Electronics/Electrical/Avionics/Power Engineering routes plus M.E./M.Tech in one of the notified Power Electronics, Power Systems, Drives or related specializations.
For all three posts, LPSC requires at least 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10 in B.E./B.Tech and 60% marks or CGPA/CPI 6.5/10 in M.E./M.Tech.
Age Limit
Maximum age is 30 years as on 13 October 2026. Eligible Ex-Servicemen, PwBD and departmental candidates receive relaxation under applicable Government of India orders.
Application Fee
All applicants initially pay ₹750. Candidates in fee-exempt categories — Female, SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen — are eligible for full refund subject to the notification conditions. Other candidates who appear for the written test are refunded ₹500, meaning ₹250 is retained as the application fee.
