The posts are on a purely contractual basis and the walk-in interview will be held on 29 October 2026.

The notice also identifies one PwD position under the applicable reservation arrangement. A special note applies to Pediatrics: non-PG candidates can be considered only for 2 Pediatrics posts, one UR and one OBC, subject to the stated conditions.
Eligibility and Educational Qualification
The principal eligibility route is MBBS from a recognised institution plus a PG Degree, DNB, Diploma or MDS (for Dental), or equivalent, in the concerned specialty, with the required medical registration.
Where a suitable PG-qualified candidate is not available, the recruitment rules allow consideration of an MBBS candidate with at least 2 years of experience in a recognised 100-bedded hospital, including 1 year in the concerned specialty, subject to the notice conditions.
Age Limit
The maximum age is 45 years. The notice provides relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwD candidates.
Candidates claiming relaxation should carry valid supporting certificates.
Pay and Tenure
Selected Senior Residents will receive Pay Matrix Level-11 plus usual allowances as admissible.
The engagement is initially for one year. It can be extended by one year at a time, subject to satisfactory work and conduct, up to the permitted tenure under the MCD residency rules. Normal Senior Residency tenure should not exceed three years, including service in other government hospitals, subject to the conditions in the notice.
The contractual appointment does not create a right to regular appointment.

Important Candidate Notes
The 30 advertised positions include vacant posts and some positions presently occupied by non-PG candidates. Where a suitable PG candidate becomes available and is selected, the notice permits replacement of a non-PG appointee in the circumstances stated by MCD.
