The Maharashtra Public Service Commission has issued a major fresh corrigendum for the Maharashtra Group-C Services Combined Preliminary Examination 2026, expanding the recruitment to a record 16,717 vacancies across 27 cadres. Advertisement 017/2026 originally covered a smaller vacancy pool, but the official corrigendum released on 6 November 2026 adds 11,010 more posts to the existing 5,707. MPSC has also reopened the process so that new candidates can apply and previously registered candidates can submit eligible post preferences from 13 November to 27 November 2026.
This is now one of the largest state-government recruitment exercises of the year, covering clerical, revenue, health, agriculture, technical, engineering and departmental posts. Major vacancy groups include 3,966 Clerk-Typist, 3,911 Staff Nurse, 1,840 Talathi, 1,388 Craft Instructor and 1,203 Assistant Agriculture Officer posts. Qualification is post-specific: many administrative posts require graduation, while nursing, agriculture, engineering, fisheries and technical cadres require the relevant professional qualification. A single combined preliminary examination will be held in offline OMR mode on 24 January 2027, followed by the applicable main examination, skill test or post-specific selection stage.
