How to Apply for Indian Coast Guard CGEPT Recruitment 2026

Applications are open now and must be submitted online through the Staff Selection Commission portal by 21 October 2026 at 5:30 PM.

  1. Choose the correct post before registration. Check whether you meet the qualification, gender and DOB window for Navik (GD), Navik (DB), Yantrik or Hygienist-I. Regal Naukri's Eligibility Pre-check can help you compare your basic profile with the notification, but the official CGEPT notice is the final authority.
  1. Check your DOB carefully. CGEPT uses exact birth-date ranges that differ by post and batch. If you want to calculate your chronological age for reference, use the Regal Naukri Age Calculator, but rely on the official DOB window and relaxation rules when deciding eligibility.
  1. Prepare documents before opening the form. Use the Government Job Document Checklist to organise your marksheets, category certificate, identity proof, domicile and diploma/ITI records as applicable.
  1. Go to the official SSC portal. Register/login with an email address and mobile number that you can continue to use throughout the recruitment. The notice warns that changing or losing access to the registered contact details can create problems with E-admit cards and recruitment communication.
  1. Complete the application for only the post you intend to compete for. If multiple applications are submitted in the same recruitment cycle, only the last fully completed application received by the system will be considered, and fees paid for earlier applications are not refunded.
  1. Capture/upload the photograph exactly as instructed. CGEPT requires a recent photograph and real-time live-image capture during registration. If you need to prepare an existing photograph to the portal's permitted dimensions/file size, use the Photo Resizer only according to the SSC specifications shown on the application screen.
  1. Enter academic marks exactly from your certificates. Do not round, omit or guess subject marks. Yantrik candidates should enter diploma details carefully and keep the required original/provisional certificate ready for later stages.
  1. Upload documents and pay the fee. Pay ₹550 if applicable. SC/ST candidates are exempt under the notification. Check every uploaded file for legibility before proceeding.
  1. Use the preview before final submission. Recheck your name, date of birth, category, post choice, marks, domicile details, photograph and documents. Submit only after all details match the supporting records.
  1. Save the final application and registration details. Keep the application printout, fee/payment status and registration credentials. You will need to monitor the SSC dashboard for Stage-I/II/III updates and E-admit cards.

Candidates applying for a government recruitment online for the first time can also read Regal Naukri's How to Apply for Government Jobs in India guide for a broader walkthrough of registration, document preparation, fee payment and final submission.

Important: Regal Naukri tools and guides are preparation aids. Indian Coast Guard/SSC rules, corrigenda, portal instructions and the official notification always prevail for eligibility, acceptance, reservation, document validity and selection.
