Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway has issued a revised recruitment notice for 2,008 Act Apprentice training slots across its divisions and workshops under Notice 04/2026 (NWR/AA). The revised notification is dated 21 October 2026 and replaces the earlier version of the same apprenticeship notice. Online applications are scheduled to open on 23 October 2026 and close on 22 November 2026 at 11:59 PM, giving ITI-qualified candidates a full month to register through the official RRC Jaipur portal. Training opportunities are spread across Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur divisions as well as North Western Railway workshop units. At a basic level, candidates need Class 10 with at least 50% aggregate marks plus an NCVT/SCVT National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade. Selection is merit-based, using the average of Matriculation and ITI marks, followed by document verification and medical fitness. The age band is 15 to 24 years as on 22 November 2026, with notified relaxations. This is apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, not a regular Railway appointment, and completion of training does not create a right to absorption in Indian Railways.

Selection Process

There is no separate written examination for this apprenticeship recruitment.

The merit list is prepared from the simple average of percentage marks in Matriculation and ITI. In case of a tie, the older candidate gets preference; if date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier is considered first.

Shortlisted candidates are then called for document verification and medical examination.

Training Period and Stipend

The revised notification states that the training period and stipend will be governed by the extant Railway Board rules and directives.

It does not publish one fixed stipend amount for every trade in this notice, so Regal Naukri is not inventing a monthly figure.

No hostel accommodation is provided. Selected candidates must arrange their own accommodation during training.
